Aim
The Japanese Association of Traffic Psychology (JATP) is a major Japanese association that strives
to find solutions for various traffic problems from the aspect of psychology and related fields. Most
members are researchers at colleges and research institutes, or are specialists at companies associated
with transportations. JATP’s mission is to help prevent traffic accidents.
History
1975 Japanese Traffic Psychology Society was established.
1982 It was renamed The Japanese Association of Traffic Psychology.
1986 JATP began to publish a Japanese Journal of Traffic Psychology.
2002 JATP began an accreditation service of Traffic Psychologist.
